Hello all I am having trouble putting my forward bilge with the float back together. 3 wires come in from the panel (red, blk, brown) 2 blk off the float and 1blk, 1brown off the pump. I tried uploading a pic but no luck. Any help or suggestions please.

Basically, the red should be a direct fused line from the battery and the brown will be from your dash switch that turns the pump on manually (overrides the float). The black from the panel will be ground. If you have a volt meter or test light, confirm that the red is 12VDC all of the time, and the brown is 12VDC when you turn on the manual bilge pump switch. Use the black from the panel as your ground in both test cases.

So:
Black from the panel will wire to black to the pump.
One black from the float (either one, does not matter) will go to the red from the panel.
The brown from the pump will go to the brown from the panel and the other black from the float.

(I'm making assumptions on the color code, so if you can perform the volt meter test, we will know. If not, the worst that will happen is the pump will run all of the time. If it does, simply reverse the red and brown from the panel.)

Here is a basic schematic of a bilge pump.
