bilge pump install

Hi I have a 1987 Sea Ray 340 Sport Fisherman and the rear bilge pump went out So to do the job correctly I replaced both the pump and the automatic switch I wired them but apprently have done it incorrect The boat has three wires a black one a brown one and a brown one with a red stripe The pump has a brown wire and a black wire and the switch has two grey wires Can some one instruct me how to wire this correctly A diagram would be most helpful. The boat is equipped with the Sea Ray factory switch with manual and automatic choices Thanks Conard

the pump has the positive(brown ) and the negative (black). black to battery negative ,not the engine block.
black wire from harness to battery negative,
brown wire from harness to brown wire of pump(manual operation)
brown w/ stripe ,tape back and insulate
one wire from the float switch to the brown wire of the pump (you will have 2 browns and a grey)
other wire from float switch directly to positive battery with a 20A fuse.

wired this way the automatic operation is out of your control no matter what the battery switches are set to.
no switches to remember to flip for auto bilge operation
