Anyone on here had to replace one of these? How do you do it, even with the engine cowling removed I cant reach under the motor to get it out. What I did manage to do trying was slice my thumb wide open enough for stitches on something under there. This has got to be poor planning by Searay. I thinh what happened was the pump got left on. There is a small green indicator light by each switch that lets you know when something is on, but very poor planning again is that you can not see them in the sun, nor can you here the pump or blower running. Any ideas? Thanks

Hey Makes - Sorry for your injury. I had a bimini pole from my 2002 210 SD swing around and crush my thumb over the weekend while I was putting it on if it makes you feel any better. This won't be of much help, but I just had the bilge pump in the 210 replaced last week. The mechanic told me he had to have one of his young guys perform a callisthenic miracle to get it in there, so it seems it is in fact a major design flaw and there is no easy way. A $30 part and two hours of labor. Probably worth having it done for you. Good luck.

yes those boat looks good on CAD programm but they dont thinking about repairing them. Right way is to remove motor, sometimes you can manage to "unsnap" pump from base, replace it with same model, connect wiring and snap it back or you can install new pump in more accessible position, reuse hose or run new one, reuse wiring and float switch.
