Bilge Issue...see Pic

Anyone ever see this? I dipped a rag and it looked brownish/clear, not oil like and doesnt have a motor oil smell.

Looks like an exhaust leak. Are all the hose clamps present?

I would lean towards exhaust as well.

Hmm, ok good tips. Exhaust leak. I couldnt see any hose clamps that looked loose. Can you guys explain what an exhaust leak entails? This will be my first experience with this.

Ran the boat for a short trip today and noticed the psi guage was a tad high (maybe 60-70). Not sure if this could be related.

Looks like carbon from rich exhaust.

Exhaust leak, or your belt wearing and depositing the rubber in the bilge water.

I should mention also that I noticed this issue today. Prior to today, the boat sat still in slip for probably a full week.

Maybe water just got stagnant. If I let water set to long in the bilge it turns to what you have. Vacuum it out and see what happens.

I had what I thought was some sort of lubricant based on texture but it ended up being some leaves that rotted in the water.

+1 on what Boater John posted. It looks similar to a problem I had a couple of weeks ago; caused by stagnant water. I would vacuum up the water and then use a good bilge cleaner.

stagnant water..Wash out your bilge..Remove the engine compartment foam out of bilge also that can clog your pump and cause the boat to sink if it takes on enough water.
