Bilge blower going

If I posted this on the old forum I never saw any comments - I apoligize for a repeat if that's the case.
So our bilge blower sounds like theres a cat stuck in it - called our dealer and they said = put some WD40 on the axel and if it still sounds bad it needs to be replaced. I guess they heard my sharp intake of breath, but since I was calling for my husband I didn't want to get too involved (I help clean the outside, clean most of the inside but do not get mechanically involved unless forced) so the dealer repair guy says - it's not a big fix, inexpensive and you're in and out - but seriously this boat hit the water July 9th last season, was dealer winterized and stored and came out early May - we have about 65+ hours on it - we use the bilge blower almost all the time when we are moving under 30mph and it's always been a bit loud but now it's impossible. Comments?

1st WD40 for door squeeks and nothing else. Do not use it on your blower.

2nd remove and replace the bilge blower. It's cheaper than it catching fire and much safer.

Replacing a bilge blower is easy and cheap. If you have the Turbo inline, should be under $50 (maybe under $30) and take 5 minutes to replace.
