Need to clean my bildge at the very low area where the bildge pumps are. It is black and discusting looking. What should I use to clean this black crud with?

Thanks your your suggestions.

Hi Belliswood, I use Simple Green it is a great de-greaser and also disinfects so you can use it else where on the boat. Just spray the whole bige area with it and let it sit for a while and then hose out. You may have to rub the spots where there is alot of crud, but it will do the trick.

You have to use really hot water with it too. If you have a ton of oily film, yes spraying it down and letting it sit without diluting it first will help. Then get in there with a brush and a 5 gallon bucket with 1// gal of Sime green and 1 gallon of really hot water. Use the other 1/2 gallon of Simple green for the pre-soak. Make sure you're well ventilated and don't stay in there long while it soaks.
