I noticed that my drive lube is now below the fill line. It was full at beginning of season. Does the BIII maybe use a little more lube than a single prop? I see no evidence of oil in the bilge, nor any trails on water in any circumstance. I will fill today and monitor closely. Anyone else have to top off mid way through the season?

On my 270, I had to top it off at least once a season... like you, I would see no sign of any leaks.

My BIII always used a little gear lube, as long as it's minimal and you are not seeing evidence of a leak I would not be concerned. My Alpha I uses a little lube, I never see any evidence of a leak, but over the course of the summer (@50hrs) the gear lube level will drop close to the fill line in the bottle. I would top it off and monitor, if it drops back down in a few hours you probably have some sort of leak.

Great. I will refill and monitor. Thanks for the info.
