The starboard BIII drive on my 2002 340 is smooth and completely quiet when I shift it into gear. The port side clunks similar to an alpha drive when I shift it into gear. Any suggestions on what I can look for as being the problem on the port side? Thanks for any advice.

From what I have been told a clunk in a bravo is a sign of possible clutch failure. When I first bought my boat one drive smooth as butter but the other had a clunk. Half way through the season the clutched failed. $2600 later it was rebuilt and back running without a clunk.
