Biggest sea ray trailerable

Incredible pics! I've never even considered trailering my 340. Now I see the possibilities!

Perkchiro, you may be missing out on a lot of good boating in nearby lakes and rivers if you aren't able to trailer. I've never driven a semi, so I had no "big truck" experience to draw on. Towing the 330 was a piece of cake. If you get a trailer make sure it has plenty of load capacity but not waaaaaay too much. You want the boat to be able to compress the springs, otherwise it will ride very hard and every little bump will transmit itself into the boat and give it a very hard ride. My trailer was set up with torsion springs on each axle and was designed to tow 20,000#. Plenty of reserve capacity in case I had to tow it with full fuel and water, but not too heavy.

Well just brought my 290 home for the winter and again the braking sucked.

I took a look to see if the brake fluid was low and you guessed it. Bone dry! not a drop was in there. I figured brand spanking new trailer it must have fluid. Nope the boat came all the way from florida to indiana with out any brake fluid in the actuator.

Not sure who is at fault there. the builder of the trailer or the dealer that brought the boat to me. I am to blame for not checking and assuming. well hope this can help someone down the road. i cant wait to see how it brakes when the trailer can assist.

Ouch. Check all your connections. It's possible fluid leaked out somewhere because the fitting wasn't tight.

Same issue on my trailer. Had it delivered from SC and it was bone dry. Before I used it I replaced all brakes with new systems, actuator, etc. All my steel had rusted to nothing. Trailer is basically brand new now...
