Bigger Transom Name

Hey All
Just purchased a 2006 44 Sedan Bridge Seems everybodys boat name across the transom is very small with the door and transom locker and all thats back there.
Would love larger drop shadow engine turn gold leaf name and hailing port across the back!
Would love to see some of your Transom pics of how you did your names to give my graphic guy some ideas.

The stern of your boat isn't that much different than my 420DA was. You just run the name right over the seams of the rear hatch and then cut it after it's in place but still wet. That'll let the edges curl around the radius of the hatch and opening. The trick is to cut it straight.

To @copb8tx point, the first is my old 420. My OCD wouldn't let me put it across the lazarette, aka the trunk. When we got the 48, I didn't want the dinghy to block the name (entirely) and went with the name across the trunk lid.

Note: Diesel price in first picture is pre-Biden.

It can be done…..I worked with a professional sign painter who works with gold leaf. Online vinyl lettering kits probably won't get you the look you want.

This was as big as we wanted to go and and ensure that its centered on the transom. Coincidentally someone came up to me last year and asked if I liked to "smoke"....huh??? They thought that the 420 on the transom was a personal statement. Never really thought about it but makes sense.

Clinton Township
Jefferson Beach
Port Clinton
Marblehead
Catawba island

I guess I could get bumper stickers with each home port
