What do you use to label wires that you have added to the boat? I have tried using the label maker from the office but the label will not stick. Right now I have written on the insulation with a small sharpie.

I am adding all the new wires to the factory wiring diagram using letters instead of number so they will be known after factory adds. I have looked for a program to draw wiring diagrams easily but have not found anything yet.

Get a wire marker booklet in the electrical stuff aisle at your nearest Lowes or HD. Made by Ideal.

I love the Demo...

I make the label long enough to wrap around the wire and stick back to itself. Works like a charm for under $30...

Also redid my sling location tags using it and that was two years ago. Still like the day I put them on...

This is exactly the label maker I have at work. I just need to label differently. I tried to stick the label to the wire directly longways instead of wrapping and attaching to itself. This is one of those Doh?! moments.

I brought the label maker home from work for the weekend so I plan to label everything I installed this past year.
