I am looking to purchase two Sherwood 2603x pumps. Anyone have any suggestions for the best source to purchase these pumps? Prices are all over the map on the Internet.

You might want to look at Seaboard Marine: http://www.sbmar.com. They specialize in Cummins aftermarket parts, particularly seawater pumps. They offer pumps they've designed that are an upgrade over the standard Sherwood pumps intended to overcome deficiencies they've identified. They also overhaul pumps with supposedly better internals. They also have a companion forum, boatdiesel.com, that I've found to be a good resource.

I have Seamax pumps too. Don't use the Sherwood they are prone to fail.

Some of the Sherwood pumps are just fine.

Seaboard has replacements for the b and c series Cummins pump which isn't a great design.

I don't think they have a replacement for a 2603x but could be wrong.
