Any suggestions on the best place to find a wiper arm and blade assembly for a 2005 280da:huh: Thanks in advance.

Did your arm get bent or broken? I’ve never replaced my wiper arm.

The blade on our boats is the same as the blade used on a Ford L series truck.

Get replacements from your local Sea-Ray dealer for some crazy high price or go to your local trucking supply store and pay about $10’ish. Bring the old one along so you get the correct size.

Good tip, but will the Ford wiper last under the adverse condutions?

Has any one used the Ford arms?

I need the entire arm :smt013 All I have is the splined shaft sticking up:smt089

Thanks to Presentation and a few others suggestions I found my wipers online at Ryder Fleet Products. I did not need the splined part. You should be able to get them there. No auto type store had anything close and truck supply parts places didn't have the exact match. Although I could have used one an inch or so longer which they did have, once I went to install it. Sea Ray was $36, truck parts $18, and RFP $8.

Good luck, MM

I need to find a replacement for the entire arm too, turned them on for the 1st time and it popped off and went to the bottom...

Florida - I might still have some (new ones) at the shop. If you want, I can check tomorrow evening. IIRC, it is about $32 (shipped, in the US). It is an OEM (Sea Ray) part and has the "J-hook" so you can get a blade at an auto store, down the road.

Not pushing this on you (heck, I make all of about $3 on this), but at least you know how much it'll cost for the Sea Ray specific one if you want it. If you want, I'll need to check to see if the ones I have would fit your boat.

EDIT: I originally wrote: "for the whole thing (arm and blade)". My mistake - the arm, from Sea Ray, does NOT come with the blade. Sorry for the confusion.

I need to figure out how to attach a Goodyear wiper blade to my arm. I bought a couple sets of Goodyear blades for my wife's Burb and my truck in the fall and they're the best windshield wiper blades I've ever owned and I live in Seattle where it rains as you know. I go through 6 sets a year. These are great. I found them at Costco for $7.99 each

Laze Daze, if you can find another, I have a 2001 280 DA, Arizona boat and mine did the same thing last year, turn in on and it went flying in about 30ft of water!!

Inmotion: 30 feet? Take a big breath and jump in! Just kidding:grin:

No problem, you got it. I put an order in for a bunch of them - I'll PM you when they come in - shouldn't be more than a few days from now.

Hey Dennis Are these the ones that spring out like a Ford so you can wash the wind shield easier

No, they don't, Dave. They are the Sea Ray OEM ones, but they do not "stay" sprung out. They pull about a foot away, but they don't stay in place. Oh, by the way, Chevy wipers spring out, too...

I bought a set of arms from Dennis for my 370EC and have been very pleased. I put a set of silicone based blades on them from Wally World and they have stayed very pliable and do a good job of conforming to the shape of the windshield.

Please note I changed my post above (#9). I mistakenly wrote that what I had available included the blade. It does not. It's been a couple of months since I physically looked at them - sorry for any confusion.

Got my wiper today! So excited I had to install it and test! These long hours are rough, had to use flashlight to see to put it on. Adjusted and works great!! Thanks again for the great service!

Allen - Good to hear they're working out for you. Silicone is the way to go!

Donnie - Thanks! Glad I could help you!
