Just received the June issue of Chesapeake Bay magazine where they publish the annual reader survey of the best of everything for boaters on the bay. It comes as no surprise that the best of the best is to be found only in the “whimpy” part. Take THAT you manly bay braggarts. All you have is a lot of water and we have the best towns to visit, best cruising rivers, best marinas, best anchorages, best resorts, best crab restaurants, and best fireworks.

In fact, if you were to put push pins in your chart of the bay, for each #1 or #2 vote, the center of everything looks like it runs from Kent Island to Rock Hall.

Very cool. Thanks for the tip for those of us who boat in Sissypeake.

BYW, "Carissima" is a great and apropos double entendre!

Great post Jim! I was going to post that too but, being a wimp, I fear the wrath of Gary.

I told my family that the "Best of the Bay" read more like our log book.

P.S., The new boat looks great, can't wait to see it!
