I am happy with this hose I am on my 3rd year...it's not like the cheap ones that burst after a season...Drinking safe. I just throw it in the bucket when done. Note: it doesn't shrink or expand it just collapses...probably why it doesn't break

Jimmy, as I mentioned above in the novel I wrote about disinfecting my tanks, I use a separate filter on the water hose to remove the bad taste before the water goes into my tank. I picked it up at Walmart for about $20. This one below is a Culligan and it's similar to the one I have, except mine has a hose fitting on both sides, not a pipe fitting, and I think mine is a bit taller than this one. The filter for mine is hard, feels like some kind of stone (but it's not) and the filters last a year then I get a new one.My biggest issue with hoses is the taste in coffee, hot chocolate, and most importantly ice. I like lots of ice in my drinks and continually use it and the water from the tank (which means it often has to be filled with fresh chlorinated water from a well flushed "garden variety" green hose).
