I recently down-sized & now have a 2001 SunDeck. It needs bottom paint. It spends most of the year in Pool 26 of the Mississippi river where algae grows within hours. A nearby marina quoted me a fair price for the job, but using SeaHawk Monterey paint. From my research, I believe Odyssey Triton paint (which is twice the price per gallon, but seems to be the top of the line paint) would be better.
I'm looking for an algae resistant paint that I won't have to repaint every year. The boat (barring issues) will only be taken out of the water (on a trailer) once a year, pulled upon sand bars 4x/year, & driven at an avg cruise of 20 knots for 120 hrs/year.
Any ideas?
