The one advantage to being in Afghanistan is that while you all are sleeping I'm awake getting all the good deals!

LOL!! Well if that's the case, God Bless you and thank you for your service!! I'm glad you scored the unit! Now get home safe so you can install it!
Be Well!

Thanks, I actually start my way home later this week.. but it's an ordeal getting out of here... I have hopscotch from one base to another then to Kuwait then to Fort Benning and finally home...And of course this is a government operation which means that common sense and efficency are non existant. With each jump I have at least 3 days before my next hop. Once I get to Kuwait it'll be at least a week before I fly back to Fort Benning.

I'm a National Guardsman so after each deployment we have to go through a week or 2 of outprocessing before being released from active duty... if all the stars and planets align I should be home around the 22nd or 23rd of December.

Lakeway, Enjoy Camp Arifjon was stationed at KNB Navy Base for 8 Months! It's got some good facilities to decompress, nice pool, good Defac although you'll lose your Hazard Pay! Kuwait is no longer a Tax Free Combat Zone! Thanks for your Service and get home Soon!

Thank you for your service - I don't mind missing a deal for a service person - God bless and good luck getting home before Christmas - that would be great.

We don't go through Arifjon, we go through Ali Al Salem, which is the CENTCOM theater gateway. While Kuwait is no longer considered for any special pay's that is only for service members stationed there. Redeploying service members coming out of a CENTCOM contigency operation retain all special pay and allowances until they are either back at home station.

Thanks for your service, be safe and welcome home.

The unit should be at your house before you get there.
