I'm in the process of installing Garmin radar, MFD's and Fox engine gateways on my 1997 330DA. Something I just noticed upon testing the installations is that when I shut down my port motor, the trim tabs fully deploy. Any idea why that might occur? Maybe it was happening before and I just noticed it because the hatch has been open and the hum is apparent. I will say that I have noticed the tabs deployed in the past when I thought they should have remained up which is where I prefer to keep them to protect the shafts from algae growth. The changes I've made to the electrical wiring was to add circuits to the factory installed fuse panel and ground buss designated for electronic instruments that is behind the dash.

Bennet has an auto RETRACT on shutdown module sounds like someone hooked it to the down by mistake

Bennett has an optional "auto retraction kit" that, obviously, is meant to do the exact opposite of what you have going on. Kinda sounds like someone flip flopped some installation wires. Go to Bennett's website and look at the installation manual for the kit, then compare to the installation in your boat. From memory, it's pretty straight forward so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Unless this just started after you did some wiring work.. then go back and check your work.

Thank you...I'll do a little research on the auto retract and see what it is that I'm looking for.
