Hi All, I am desperately looking for the OEM bench seat for this particular boat. I have looked everywhere, and am hoping someone here knows or has one for sale. I really don't want to put in an aftermarket seat if possible. Please let me know. I am in California, but I could arrange shipping if necessary! Please either message me on here, or call me at 559-288-1220. my name is Matt. Thanks!

If the substrate of the seat is in good condition, it could be re-upholstered. I'm planning on doing mine this off season. Did the interior last winter and am going to do the captains seat and the rear bench as well. If you aren't handy with sewing, I bet you could find a shop in your area that would put it back to stock new condition. Good Luck.

I don't have a frame or anything to even start with. For some reason, it was missing along with the rear flip down seat!! I am bare bones up on deck.... I was thinking of building a seat out of wood, but I am worried about too much weight on one side. has anyone ever built a frame for a bench seat out of wood?

Hi Matt, I wasn't even sure about responding given the distance between us, but here's some info. I have been storing a helm seat for years that would fit your boat, always hoping I could give it a good home. Problem is, the cost to ship it to you would be atrocious. I was just going to throw it on the bonfire if someone local didn't want it. The framing is 1 inch 8 ply. Has the fold down rear compartments. The seat back has been painted with white vinyl paint to cover up faded blue vinyl. It's far from perfect, but it is solid like an oak tree. I'm just taking a wild guess, but I imagine it weighs over a hundred pounds. As far as I know, all of the Sea Ray cruisers of that vintage had wooden framed helm and transom seats. You may just have to go the alternative route of buying a pontoon style bench seat. I know it would look funny and never match the boat colors, but it is the lightest, least expensive way to get a seat at the helm if you don't have an original frame to work with. You could also mount two individual captains chairs on pedestals for that "fly bridge" look. PM me if you need further info.

I sent you a PM. I will take it!! I work with carriers for my company, and can arrange shipping.
