bellow help

i looked every were on youtube and google how to INstall bellows but they all show how to take them off witch is no help really the things i needed to do. I drop the drive and replace the impeller pulled the bell housing to replace the trim senders got every thing back on now to the bellows i have the water hose on the exhaust on but i cant seem to get the drive bellow on the transom plat i called a some place to get help they all say u put the drive bellow on by hand but i cant seem to get it on all the way is there a formula to install the bellows

Bellows expander tool is for the exhaust bellows only.

The U-joint bellows you just need to work by hand, but you do need a tool (or make one up) to get the metal bellows sleeve/ring installed. I made one out of two concentric wood circles of different diameters stacked together, attached to a wood dowel. You have to work the bellows on, get it to stay in place for a minute, and then drive the ring in. It takes a lot of patience.

You will REQUIRE the bellows expander tool for the exhaust bellows. It's money well spent, and I can not think of ANY other way to get the exhaust bellows on without it! The shift cable bellows is pretty easy, but be careful not to puncture it with the shift cable when guiding it through.

The water hose was the hardest part for me; it took a long time to get both ends one...whew. Thought it near impossible.
