Guys

I started my boat today and almost immediately the warning beeps started. it was a single beep about one second apart. I opened the engine compartment and noticed my outdrive oil (bravo 3) was low in the reserve. I added a few ounces and it was back to normal levels. I started the boat up again and the beeping continued. should I let it run for a while? Put it in and out of gear while at the dock? or is it something completely different?

Thanks in advance

Just happened to me this weekend. Added fluid and away went the noise. There is a reset on the smartcraft, but shoud not have to do it.

Can we assume this is an MPI engine (add to your signature for future use)?

Disconnect one of the drive lube monitor bottle's electrical leads to see if the beep goes away. If so, then check to see if the drive lube monitor bottle's float is stuck in the down position. If so, remove bottle from boat and clean out THOROUGHLY - it's probably gunked up from years of not being cleaned out.

Thanks guys so much, I'm assuming it was the gunk on the float switch, the alarm went away late that night. Today I took it on a long ride just to make sure everything was good and it was.

thank you again!

OK, but you still should be cleaning out the bottle.
