I had the same experience with custom boats sheets. They were SH*T! We are back to using flat sheets and tucking under the cushion.

That's what we do, but we started using these cheap elastic Sheet Straps and they actually made a HUGE difference in keeping the fitted sheet over the mattress. They're like $5 at any of the big box stores.

If you have a good canvas vendor in your area use them for sheets. We buy king sized sheets from Bed, Bath and Beyond and take them to our canvas guy to cut. He adds elastic to edges that fit our queen sized mattress and this makes the installation easy. The bottom sheet gets elastic all the way around with Velcrow at the foot end of the sheet. The top sheet gets cut to fit the bed and has Velcrow that attaches to the bottom that is tucked in beneath the mattress. Using oversized sheets insures they stay tucked if the vendor knows what he is doing.

Sleep Train (formerly Sleep Country USA) sells bamboo sheets that have elastic all the way around the fitted sheet. We bought the full size for our 450DA and they work great. They're super soft too!
