Heres a link to our vac pics to Beaufort. We stayed inland at a cottage on the Whale Branch River which is 10 mins by car, 20 mins by boat to downtown Beaufort. We boated the Whale Branch, Coosaw, Broad and May Rivers as well as St. Helena, Port Royal and Calibogue Sounds and docked at downtown Beuafort and Harbortown, Hilton Head Island. Lots of shoals and very challenging with a new boat but was a ton of fun and a beautiful area.

What a great trip. Thanks for sharing the pictures. We go down to Hilton Head Is. every year to our timeshare. We just love it there for a vacation.

Did you stop and get the Marquiritas at Downtown Marina? Great pictures. You have a couple of calender shots in there.

Looked like a fun week with the new toy. Did you notice much difference between the 260 and the 215?

The pictures are great, as always, looks like you guys had a great relaxing vacation, glad you are enjoying the new boat, look forward to seeing it Labor Day wk end.

Mmm mmm mmm. Kes, you take some mean pictures. Definitely some calendar shots in that roll. Looks like you guys had a fantastic week.

Yes its much different. But I would say mostly in relation to learning all the systems and how to work them. The size is still intimidating, but handles much the same.

Cool pictures, thanks for sharing. Based on some of them you sure don't want to get out of the channel down there(Grin)
Looks like you broke then new ride in good, any problems?

Awesome photos....beautiful country.

Looks warm...glad you got the genny impeller replaced!

I want to go back to the coast now!

Great Pic! The area looks great never been down there but your pics sure do make me want to go. Really nice rental house, looks very cozy. If I had a trailer able boat that would be a really tempting vacation!!!

Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing. We live in TN, land locked for sure. My family has been vacationing on Hilton Head for decades though and I'd love to take our boat down there next summer. Where does one begin looking for research on maps, routes, etc etc ? Thanks.

Thanks to all. Glad others can enjoy...it was a good trip! Kendall, It was not warm. It was HOT!!! Chuck, we learned how to clean the strainer, replace the genny impeller, what the CO alarm is like when you begin losing power on the hook, what the anchor alarm sounds like when we swung around at tide change and how to lube the toilet ball! Among many, MANY other things that were all foreign to us prior to getting the new boat! lol . BIG thanks to Nickysc for coaching and encouraging us along all last week!!! Its a beautiful, quiet area right between Charleston and Savannah and a great place to enjoy boating. Recommend it highly!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I like HH, and try to get there once a summer. Haven't got there this year. I really want to make the trip to Beaufort and on to HH by boat. One season I will. After seeing your pics it just makes me want to do it that much more. Sorry I missed this trip. Oh well, there's next year. Might skip the Bahamas trip next year and do a intercoastal run to Jacksonville, Fla from Charleston. Hmmm, just might do that.lol.
Great pics ya'll.
See ya at Jocassee and Keowee.

Yea, you yanks are welcome to visit! BUT, when the vacation is over...you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here!

I better say I'm just kidding around. I don't know how to put thoes smiley faces on here! lol.

You know what you call a Northerner who visits the south. A Yankee.

And you call a Northerner when he stays a Damn yankee.

:smt043As long as you allow some of our mentality and demeanor infuse into your personality, we will just call you... a transplant. Otherwise, you just get an real short unwelcome visit. LOL . I think Myrtle has more transplants than natives now!

Most of the Myrtle "transplants" are "halfbacks" though. You know what a halfback is right? Thoes are people who moved to Fla. found it to hot and only went half way back home, and setteled in the Carolinas. lol.
