Hi everyone,
Well, we are getting closer to a used 290DA and we are looking at boats from 99`-01` but I am getting some conflicting info on the outdrives. Is there any truth to the rumors that it is hard to get parts for the Bravo II drive ? Or any of the drives ?

Any info would be helpful, as what boat we should go for.
Thanks in advance.

I've never had any problems getting parts for my Bravo 2. Then again, the thing is so stout that I really haven't needed many.

First I've heard of that one.

Without more info on the motors it has it's hard to say. But
if it's 4.3Ls it probably Alpha I outdrives.
Since you say it's twins I also think it's not Bravo II's but could be Bravo IIIs. Bravo III's have the 2 counterrotating props per outdrive. the Bravo II has typically a Larger Single prop per drive.
The Alpha I's are lighter duty than either of the Bravo's but set up as twin units on the boat you're looking at and the 4.3L's is a nice set up, provided they've been well maintained.
