Would anyone know what size wingnut is used on marine batteries? Is it a standard size? I have the stock (what ever it was delivered with) battery in my 2006 sea ray.

On mine (Interstate) the positive is 3/8" and the negative is 5/16".

I would advise against using wing nuts on your batteries. They tend to vibrate loose.

I always replace them and use stainless, fiber locking nuts.

Thanks all. 5/16 it is. And great idea with the fiber locking. That's what I used.
