Battery Switch In The Bilge

We have a battery switch in the bilge mounted on the same wall as the isolator and battery charger. Have never turned it on and never tried to trace it to see what it is for. We think it is for the gen but the gen starts with out it being turned on. Any ideas what it is for.

Not shown on the build sheet, have it checked for 12v power or trace the wires
