Looking for some suggestions on a new charger for my 390. Don't know if I should go with a 40 or 50 amp.

I'm looking at doing this as well. I need to get down and make a wiring diagram so I know what is in there first. I know I have one starting bank, and one house bank. Two group 27's in the start, and 4 Group 24';s in the house. I need to figure the switches, etc.

I get confused on how the original charger is word, as t just seems to plug into the swtiches. Many new chargers want a direct connection to each battery. Not sure why yet.

I simply wired my replacement Promariner Pronautic exactly where the old one (OEM Promariner 30) was. I figure Sea Ray had done it properly so why mess with the setup and risk doing something wrong. I will say that I had to replace the Sea Ray wiring connectors where they attach to the charger because the rings diameter were slightly too large to fit in the spaces on the new charger.

Yes, when I purchased the boat as a repo everything had been stripped so it's been crazy. I did locate the original wiring diagram which shows 2 starting batteries which power other things as well along with 1 for the gen.

I located the original wiring diagram which shows 2 starting which powers lights etc. It also shows 1 for the gen.
