I am no genius on electrical stuff so I have another Question ? I have 3 batteries 1 alone and 2 tied together, would this be considered a 2 bank set up ?? This is on a 390 express 1997 model with mercruisers. thanks B.B.

Thanks Guys, now I know what to start looking at for chargers, at least ideas anyway. when I find the old one I'll get #'s off of it. Thanks again B.B.

This past spring I installed a ProMariner 1240p. It is a 40amp, 3 bank charger. I am only using 2 of the banks and it has performed flawlessly. Have never added a drop of water to my lead acid batteries.

If you are going to be on the hook for a few days at a time you may want to consider have 2 batteries per bank so you can run your refrigerator. I have two sets of group 27 deep cycle batteries for start and running the 12 volt system.

I have been checking out those pro mariner chargers I like what I see and read, I do go out on the hook a lot and have seriously been thinking about hooking another battery to the single one, there is room for one more. I have had to emergency start a couple of times so I figure I need one more, I can almost make it except if I over sleep, and sleep is so good in a cove on the hook...!!!!!! Thanks for all the replies.......B.B.
