Hi all,

I have a 2001 Sea Ray Sundancer 240 and am looking to replace the batter charger onboard. It currently is a Flyback 10-3 and says up to 240 Amp hours per day (so with some complex math, that comes to 10-amps) - It looks just like this one - http://www.pmariner.com/productFeature.php?ProductNum=51211. I bought the boat last year and the battery charger has never worked for me. Does anybody know a suitable battery charger to replace it? I found the link above, but haven't been able to find a place online that I can actually buy the same one. I have no AC power around my engine and am really hoping to use something that just hooks up to the wires that this one was attached to for ease of installation. Also, would it be bad to use a 12-amp instead of a 10-amp one? Thanks so much for the help!

I would just go to bass Pro shops and pick up a battery charger there. You only have two batteries on that boat and it is not hard to install. The one you have in your photo is overkill for what you need unless it was modified with extra batteries. Also - a little confused when you say you have no ac power around your engine. If you have no ac power to plug your charger into then it defeats the purpose of getting one. Most battery chargers have a ac outlet plug with DC legs that attach directly to the batteries. Takes 10 minutes to install one. Good luck.
