Baltimore Info Needed...

Sounds good Bill, you get the purple paint and I will bring that life size poster of Tom Brady in that pink dress, would look pretty cool hanging on the side of Chucks boat.

Bill, I will send you a PM later about the tailgate at the club on 10/21

Wow, sounds like you got a lot in, good for you. Baltimore is a great city, and the boating around us here is just fantastic. I will cruise to the Inner Harbor a half dozen times a season for one thing or another. Annapolis is a great little town as well. We spend Saturday at Nick’s Fish House, but we had to leave earlier on Saturday morning than I had planned. The south winds had the tide very high, and we just barely cleared the RR Bridge, in fact I scrapped the top of the radar on the way out, no damage though. Coming home that evening we just made it back to the slip before the sky opened up and dumped us with rain. Sunday we went out and started a raft up that got big, so we were out all day Sunday as well.

What a great game though, even though you all were routing for the “other team”. It was cool that you got to tailgate with John before the game. He is a great guy. How about that Purple Van! John has got me convinced on joining the Baltimore Yacht Club this year with him as well as some other friends over there. He told me he would buy the dinners!

Glad everything worked out for you, especially the game outcome! LOL.

I did see your boat at our Marina on my morning drive through today. I’ll keep an eye on things for you, but the Marina is very secure.

Bill

Thanks Bill, I appreciate the oversite...

Do you flush your engine down there? Seems the water in your marina is brackish if not fresh so far up? Reason I ask, is I totally forgot to flush my drive before leaving it :smt021

When I first launched I noticed there were no bridge boats in your marina...then as we headed out the river I figured out why. Wow...that rots about your arch... I got some road rash on my hull when hauling. An 18 wheeler was along side me when one of their tires delaminated, sending the debris into the side of my trailer and boat on the hiway. Now have a fender to repair, some gelcoat to fix and a boot strip to replace. Ugggg....

It never rained with any significance in Baltimore IH Saturday afternoon. We headed back from Annapolis at 6pm, arrived into BIH around 7:30...all the rain was skirting to the North of the city...on top of you :(

When I head down in a month to pick her up, maybe we can cross paths. I'll buy you a drink if you're around.

Cheers and Thanks,

Chuck

No one here flushes there outdrives every time they pull their boats after a couple of days on the water, but I have sea corrosion issues on Bravo 3’s and Sea Cores down here. That being said, it has only been on the boats that stay in the water all season in a slip. My issue with the water here is backing into my slip when the tide gets low, I start kicking up the bottom a lot. I have gotten to a point now where as soon as I can reach my cheater line on the pier I shut my engines off. Otherwise I am sucking all the dirt through my raw water pump.

Yea the bridge claims VHF antennas every year. I have lost a couple in my time here, but I have gotten a lot better at remembering to put it down when headed out! BTW, John lost one as well! http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/42022-do-you-keep-you-VHF-antenna-fully-erect?highlight=antenna

I’ll PM you my cell phone number, when you come back down give me a call. My house is right there and I have Bitburger Beer on tap all the time!

I can't say enough about how grateful I am for Bill (hack4alivin) and John(xravenx). You two have been great to me and I really appreciate your looking after my girl this past month and especially during this tragic storm that hit so many so hard. I was fortunate to have been spared and to have you guys on my side. See you both soon.

John sent me a photo of my boat, whil'st you two have been babysitting it, so I thought I'd share it with everyone.

So in fare kind, Tom and I went down to check on Sandy's Beach during the storm. She seemed to be riding it out well.

Take care and God speed!
