Bait well on amberjack

Can anyone tell me exactly what the "down spout" is, as far as using the bait well? We've never used the well, and, SeaRay Manual talks about putting the down spout in.....however, the tutorial pic doesn't show this.....
(this is the wife talking, so...just didn't want anyone to think that the "husband" was the "dumb" one, here!!! LOL)

I'll take a big guess based on your description. Most baitwells have a tube that fits in the drain. This tube raises the water level in the well, so that the bait can swim around. The tube is removed to drain the well.
