After all that hydrolock on my starboard motor, found a hole in the intake manifold. was told after changing it and cleaning the motor out, boat will be running tomorrow. no inner damage was found. boat stalled and oil was not immulsified just look like over fill so we should be good with that issue. On the transom leak, its possibly not one according to another mechanic friend of a friend. gonna look into that this weekend, lets bow our heads and pray ,lol

Sounds great. Hope it all works out okay. Enjoy!

Nice news. Boats give such joy and such anguish. Like a lot of things in life I guess.

so, put it all back together, started and locked. cylinder full how water , I am done. Just when we thought I would be back on the water and with minor fixes that was told , but it is the opposite. Now to just dry dock it and take a breath.....

Sorry to hear that. Sounded like it was a long shot. Take your time and get proper diagnosis before deciding route to go with repairs.

Was the water just on one side of the motor? I just saw this on another boat where cylinders 1-3 and 5 had water. The mechanic though it was the intake manifold as well but after looking closely he saw a small hole in the head. Poked a little bit and the hole got bigger. He replaced the head and the motor is bone dry and runs perfect.

Was a hole on head and intake manifold, heads being rebuilt right now and found an intake manifold that fits. Now getting ready to replace the intake manifold on port side and gonna pull the heads and have them rebuild. Both motors are the same with same hrs , if one had problems the other one has to be right behind it

Glad to hear you found the problem and it will only cost a few BOAT $$$$$$$.

Head on one side was bad so having them rebuild , just cant win lol maybe just maybe i will be back on the water second weekend in august
