Backing into slip with crosswind??!!

if poss. go past the slip just enuff to put the stern aginst the pole. back aginst the wind / tide and pivot off the pileing as you backin.

this works for me everytime, the old lean and pivot move i call it , i'm not fortunate enough to have a bow thruster .
 
+1 on doing it quickly
+1 on starting with the bow downwind
+1 on using more power than you think
+1 on using a pivot point or spring line when necessary

I know ... just mess'n with ya. I don't think that boy has the goods to safely operate a rowboat. It is pretty sad how they portray him on the show.
