Backfire

After I changed my gear drive oil and my engine oil I was letting the boat warm up so I could check everything giving it a little rev up here and there and one time I opened the throttle kind of quick and it made a little slight popping noise that just be from it being cold cuz it was not up to operating temperature and it only did it once no alarm or anything 2006 5.0 MPI 400 hours

Could be bad gas or the one of the valves wasn't sealing......hard to tell without a compression test.

I also just changed the fuel water separator but in neutral under no load I could see it being lean for a moment. Boat runs Awesome. I just wanted to do the maintenance that I can do before it gets winterized Tuesday. Thanks
