Hello,

Welcome to Great South Bay Boating, we have our boat at Surfside 3 in Lindenhurst and have been there for 6 years now. If I can give you any help just give a shout !!!!

We keep the boat on the GSB as well. Welcome to the forum and to baoting in general. There's lots of places to enjoy from Fire Island (my favorite is Watch Hill) to the Connetquot River for a peaceful raft up to points east and out of the bay. Have fun.

Hello Dancer

So Fire Island is not really that dog friendly then  I was looking on a map and it seems like there would be some remote beaches you could hang out on

Hey Salt

I was looking for a hard copy And from what i have herd garmin is the way to go I was looking at a smaller model

Rock......You may be able to anchor out off a remote beach along Fire Island.... and wade in with the dog.....and get away with it. I've never done it......but when you go to a public marina......the dock masters usually have an issue with dogs.

But your right.....there are alot of isolated beaches along the Island..........

The dog issue really $uck$ I am looking forward to meeting everyone and having a beer and burger

Yeah...........Its not too bad............we just play the game.....but bring the dog everywhere we go on the boat............he's like our kid.

Lookin forward to meet all you guys too.......

be carefull of taking the dog to Fire Island. afriend of mine did that and got a summons to court and had to pay a big $500.00 in fines. Most of the bay side beaches are private property, state or federal.

So dogs are not a loud on state or Federal land ? Thank You for that heads up I didnt know that and things on FI must be slow if they have nothing better to do than give that guy with his dog a ticket knowing it would cost him $500 WOW
