Baby oil !!!

Hello everyone, just a quick question.
I have heard baby oil to be good for vinyl after cleaning to keep it supple and looking new.
Is this a good idea or just an old wife's tail.

If it is true that's good news for us lads and the bikini girls :smt038

Vinyl protection sprays contain UV protective properties. I use the spray intended for vinyl surfaces.

Baby oil definitely has it's uses on a boat and I can tell you first hand it will not harm the vinyl:grin:
It is however very slippery and will soak into the Sea Ray logo :wow: :wink:

I heard about baby oil and vinyl being used..i'd try a small patch before hand to make sure it absorbs alright, last thing i'd want is slippery seats etc...

If it is soooo good, why doesn't the marine stores carry it in a relabeled bottle? Hmmm... Maybe its not THAT good? I doubt it is even an ingredient in any vinyl cleaner or restorer...

Due to the problems of getting good vinyl products over here I will give it a go in a small area first and see what happens :huh:
