In June 2022 had the cone clutch replaced by a reputable shop. No issues at all last year so pretty sure that was unrelated but want to throw it out there.
So now every few weeks the lube monitor is empty and I have oil in my bilge so has to be leaking inside the boat? Looked today and can't see any leaks but the first time we had it out this year it overflowed out of the monitor cap. Just saw a video where a guy left his washer/gasket off the cap. I have noticed the top of my cap seems to always be wet.

Any other ideas on where to look? I followed the hose back to the back of the engine and it seems all dry.

Besides the gear lube bottle and hose only other way an outdrive can leak gearlube into the boat is through the front seal of the outdrive. If it is leaking there, it will leak into the bellows and eventually into the boat. Pull the drive, if the bellows have gearlube in them that is the problem -- or if you can get to it, if it is leaking around the coupler/input shaft.

I'll try to get my camera in there to look closer. I have had to top it off twice this summer

Took it in to have it fixed. Yolk seal. They replaced the cone clutch last year so did the yolk seal under warranty. They also fixed the mercathode so everything on it works as it should. One trailer turn signal/brake light isn't working so will fix that next. Boat is up for sale but not gonna push it hard until spring. Not going back in the water until next spring.
