B3 blasting/repaint?

Pulled my B3 today and my step-son helped me. told him I may sand it repaint it over the winter while its off. He told me to soda blast it. Told him didn't really want to go through all that. Then he reminded me he has a soda blaster. Good idea?

Yes! The greatest thing about soda is that it's water soluble. No matter what media you use, just be sure to close off any openings that might get into the oil areas (especially if you're using sand).

Hmmm, if the drive is sound and the paint is well adhered in most areas, I would not. Maybe the areas where aluminum is already showing, but if the paint is intact, why expose aluminum and risk poor adhesion.
