Well, I had never used Flitz, so based upon the stories here, I decided to get some and see how well it works. Before I let loose on my girl, I figured I would try someplace less emotional for me. So I grabbed the locking chrome hitch receiver pin I have which was rusting up and gave it a whirl. Literally, using a BuffBall I bought, too.

Here are the before and afters. In 10 minutes I had it back to near new condition, and that's just cheap chrome!

Now to get some serious polishing going on the girl...

I used to have one of those locking mechanisms! Had to remove it because SOMEBODY left the key 400 miles away! It was easily removed with a 2 x 4 and a few solid smacks! I switched to a regular pin with a traditional lock dangling from it. Looking at the way it was built, it just doesn't slide far enough on the pin to give it any strength or stability. It WILL make the thief look at the next truck over however!!

That's about all I hope any lock will do. You should see the way I lock up up my trailer. About 6 different locking devices (hitch pin, ball hitch, cables through rims, and boot on a wheel):smt021 all in hopes that the thief will move to the next vehicle, knowing full well that if he really wants mine, he'll get it anyway.

Mothers Mag Polish is what I use. That stuff is fantastic and even good for rubbing out scratches on the gel coat.
