Small major problem:9 year old ice maker-small motor that drives the 2 cogs behind 4" cover is Kaput.The chance of getting one in Scotland is lower than -zero.I wonder if anyone out there has upgraded their one and would be keen to sell their complete freezer motor unit( the entire box/ice tray unit that is fixed inside the compartment.Thus I can just swap the whole unit over)Its not making cubes but all solonoids,etc are ok round the back.Does this make any sense.Dont want to import a new one....mega bucks!:smt100

I have re-built my unit and they have all of the parts for very low prices.
Also have FAQ for rebuilding and problems with the units.

I have an old one that has a working motor, but the tray is junk (non stick coating has cracked and peeled). Don't know available shipping options.

Fantastic Jim,
How about making this nice and simple,I like it when a plan works!
I shall take the entire motor front area,ie less the actual tray.If you let me know how much you want for it and what it will be postage..probably packaged in a box with some bubble wrap,and let me know your address I will forward some mch loved greenbacks your way??
