Autohelm SeaTalk - displaying speed but no depth

Does anyone know why that may be the case? I cannot seem to find the issue. It is an original unit on my 1997 370 EC.

Did you happen to get a fresh coat of anti-fouling paint over the winter? If so, that could be one (of the likely many) reason...

I think there's a very strong chance that the depth portion of the transducer may have failed. Almost 20 yrs is a pretty good run

Thanks for the responses! This year was an off year for the bottom paint, so that isn't the culprit.

Re: possibility of the failed depth portion... I was unaware that the transducer had different portions (speed vs depth). Makes sense and if so, a failure after 20 years, like you said, is a good run.

Any other thought on troubleshooting before I throw in the towel and buy a new one at the end of the season(so I don't have to pull the boat mid season)?
