Auto pilot component question

This is my C-Star cylinder take a look at the bold and the movement does anybody else have this is there a washer there or something or am I missing some thing(literally) This arm moves up and down on this bolt the nut does not go down any farther and there is a washer they’re stopping the arm from popping up if someone can look at their’s and let me know if I missing a washer a rubber bushing or if they should be just like this

That's how mine is. I suppose you can add another washer, but there is supposed to be a little play so it doesn't bind.

That is a spherical ball joint sometimes known as a Heim Joint. It should be bolted tight to the tab on the tiller with spacer washers on both sides of it. There should be no play at all. Secondly, that top washer should be changed to an oversized washer which has a smaller OD and thicker and will prevent movement binding.
