Auto inflatable PFD with Automatic-Bobbin or the HIT?

When I fish alone, I partially inflate my Stormy Seas vest (V200). This way, if I do go over and get knocked out, I should float face up. I tried this in our pool and it worked well. My vest also has a manual pull tab so if I am not knocked out, I can then fully inflate the vest...

Up here in the great NW, it is chilly most days so the vest is a better option for me here...

I have both types and I have problems with the bobbin ones. They'll fire if they get wet. If people wear them all the time and it rains, they can go off... I've even had them go off in a cabinet and had to cut one out.

Gary had some bad experience with the automatic type...
But I don't think his opinion is based on normal use. :smt043
