Have you seen this forecast? I'm thinking I may be sick on Monday. May have to leave the humble confines of Baltimore and head to Cambridge for some swimming! What are you going to do in the August-like April weather?

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind around 6 mph becoming west.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 84.

Our temps will be about the same in SC. Saturday we are having some friends over with their rug rats. So that means I'll be splashing the Sea Doo and water trampoline. Then for dinner we will run the boat over to the west side of the lake for dinner.

Should be nice! I would head out tomorrow if we didn't have a wedding at 5pm in Annapolis. So its up early Sat for a ride to St. Micheal's to meet up with 7 other boats from our Yacht Club. Wine and food festival all day, cocktail party on Higgins dock at 5 and crabs to follow at the Crab Claw. Not a bad agenda for my 40th birthday! :)
Enjoy!

Yeah, but the water temp must be cold.

Same here in Cincinnati, I get off tomorrow at 0600 then I'm off until the 5th of May.. Good weather to get Jimi Thing II all waxed and squared away for the season!

Yea...I wish our water temperature would warm up. It hasn't cracked 80 yet this year.

Yeah, but the water temp must be cold.

Not at the Hyatt! I just need to stay away from the crabcakes...

Maybe check out this hole called Still Pond - ever hear of it?

I'm vaguely familiar with the place. But the water will be too cold for swimming yet. That would be torture for my kids. Of course, you can get the swim platform close enough to land back on the CG spit that you can always walk to shore...

With the warm weather here, I pulled all the camper canvas off yesterday and will be heading out on the water this afternoon. I think our water temperature is up around 70 by now. That might require the first spring time dip..........for about two minutes......brrrrrrrrrrr :wow:

They're even predicting 80 way up here 50 miles from the Canadian border! I'm trying to convince my gf that we can head out! Unfortunately, the water temp is 39 right now! So, there'll be NO going in the water! The coast guard said it would take about 15 minutes before hypothermia incapacitates your body in these temps. The other night, they said they knew folks would be enticed to get out on the water, and they were warning folks that do go out to wear their life jackets. There were a number of people that died last spring due to not wearing theirs in cold water /early spring boating incidents.

I told her we're only going out, if it's not windy/wavy, since that'll make the air very cold!(about a 20 degree drop in temp if it is)

Currently in SE Ga it is sunny and 73 with 89 for the high today, tomorrow sunny and 85 for the high, gotta float the boat tomorrow. Even if the water is cold I can get close enough to walk to the beach.

LOL - 50 is 2 minute dip temps... 70 is mid-summer heatwave! You can be in the water all day in that temp lol :smt043:lol:(it's all relative, isn't it!)

damn, doesn't look like we'll be going out... 30-45 mph winds expected tomorrow, and not as warm as they were initially saying.

Too busy this weekend, but will be taking vacation Monday for a little cruise just the wife and I while the kids are at school... Shakedown cruise for beginning of the season!

I was down Friday and changed out the cockpit and galley faucets, replaced a couple of cockpit vents, and re-attached the cockpit sink drain... took way longer then I thought and had to rush home!! Luckily we did not use the cockpit sink I was under the sink and found this white tube and wondered what it was for, looked up and saw the barb on the sink... Oh well working now..

Welcome to summer!... It was a good day to lay down 6 yards of mulch.. My wife treated me to that delivery as it was waiting for me in our driveway when I returned from the boat......

No fun for us today... was planning on going to the boat but my wife has some sort of cold/flu thing and has been in bed all day.. just like her to get a bug AFTER the sickness season has passed... so go the hazards of being a school teacher.

I know you guys are going to laugh at this but we do have a Spring. After living in this climate for 35 years I notice the subtle differences. The water suddenly starts to get warmer and the palms begin to bloom. The winter vegetable crops are starting to be harvested and the farmers are planting the spring crops that will be picked just after Memorial Day. We don't grow in the Summer because it's to wet ( I know... it's weird). The most noticeable change will come around Memorial Day when the rainy season starts. It will rain every day between 3PM & 5PM from the end of May till the end of October.

But I guess the biggest change is all the snow birds have just about gone back North and the roads are getting back to normal local traffic instead of tourist traffic.

Man was it hot today. Up the Hudson where my boat is, was 92. Ran the boat on muffs, dug out some barnacles from my A/C intake with those sear's picks that Gary posted. Put some new clips on my drives and put the drain plug in. she'll splash this week.

Then we drove Over to Norwalk CT and the temp dropped to 78 on the water. I threw my dinghy and outboard in the truck but forgot the pump. Doh! so we found Dave and family and ate some pizza and drank beer on his boat.

Drove back to my boat and grabbed the pump. My feet hurt, damn docksiders.

Tomorrow we are going back to Norwalk and throw the dinghy in and explore. Summer is HERE!!!
