OK,

So MM replaced my failed water heater. The hot water side has a 90 degree whale 15mm connector on it and it seems to be sealing fine. The cold water side same connector and same nipple, did not seal and sprayed a steady stream out into the bilge all night. They came back and 'fixed' it but I don't believe it fixed the problem as now my water pump does not stop running. Their fix, sleeved on a black piece of tube with a (1) SS clamp and sleeved in a 15 mm tube to attach the 15 mm elbow to. I may double clamp it to see if it helps any. The pump motor is running but the diaphragm seems to stop once it reaches enough pressure just the motor runs, making me think the connection is still leaking a little or pressure switch is bad. I figure when I order the 'correct' connector I can order a 15mm cap to check that.

Two questions for your feed back.

1. What kind/name of nipple is on the Atwood water heater so I can buy the correct nipple - 15 MM connection at freshwatersytems.com... It does not seem to be threaded just one barb.. I believe it is the EHM6 6 gal model. Couldn't find anything on their site on specs.

2. Since the pump motor has run for several hours is the pump head ruined now? When I turn on the fresh water I get a wonderful stream that loses pressure after a few seconds to still a steady flow but not as high as initially. So I am thinking that the diaphragm is going south in the pump too..

Thanks for you thoughts/help/insights...!!!!!

Is this what I need???

I believe it is as I just found the manual for the heater and its 1/2 NPT... Off to order some parts!!
