A friend just bought a 300 weekender, it’s got the double helm seat with matching seat opposite, for some reason the previous owner turned the pedestals 90 degrees(?), new owner wants to align them properly. What’s the proper way to fasten them? The both have the aluminum slides holding the seat tops, but how do the pedestals mount?

Do you have pics, I’m putting in seating at the moment. On a weekender 300
But original seating removed.
Are you asking about the pressure plates under the deck? Or how to fit the originals seating back together?
New install I can show you my version. Factory install I can’t help.
good luck

Dont change the pedestal until you check under the seat.
They may have simply rotated the seat 90 degrees
Much easier to turn the seat plate

meaning look at how the slides attach to the top of the pedestal.
