I just took off the corroded heat exchanger and an not sure why there is so much corrosion in this area. The genny seemed to be sagging at the corner where the raw water entered the unit, so much that the removable "zink" could not be unscrewed since the bolt head was vitually sitting on the fiberglass. The rest of the heat exchanger was wegded onto the black plastic pan under the genny (in photo). You can see the mount in question with the first photo and the gap at the top of the mount with the bolt protruding - does this look right???
