After wrenching and a small amount of cussing, I finally got my new anchor line and chain installed on my windlass. Took my anchor to a welding shop and had it straightened (cause I am cheap) and it looks as good as new and for only $20!
The hardest part of this project was attaching the new 5/8 anchor line to the 5/16 chain. There is a specific braid that needs to be done to fit through the windlass without hanging up.
I tried it 3 times with no directions before I gave up and sought out some help. So here is a great site for anyone wanting to do this project::smt024

The sad part is I know I learned how to do this 25 years ago in Boy Scouts, but I will promise I will never forget again!
