I asked this question in regards to the 28' i was looking at with a single and i was wondering how the boat performs with 5.0l twins in a 11k plus dry boat that is a little bigger. Trying to figure this out, boating lol enjoyment and pressure

My boat is listed by Sea Ray as weighing 12,000 pounds. The 496's aren't any too much.

The twin 5.0s with B3s will be plenty of power for that boat. I base this on my experience with a 280DA with the same propulsion you are considering and my current boat with 350 mags. Good luck.

5.0 260 hp isn't anything new. I know they downsized the boats, like the new 310 might be the old 280? If so the 5.0's will work fine

I have the boat you are looking at with twin 5L (260hp) on Bravo 3, plenty of power. Top speed of 42 MPH. At 3500 will go at 27mph, at 3700 I think a little above 30. With a clean bottom she gets aprox 1.4 mpg, and about 19-20 gallons per hour. If you can afford it get the Axius. Good all around boat

Enjoy,
Dave

I have the 05 280 which is essentially the same class and size as the 2015. My 5.0"s push the boat fine. And the fuel economy is good.
