Aquapalooza - Lake Pontchartrain

Hello fellow Sea Ray Captains in the Lake Ponchartrain basin. The Aquapalooza event scheduled for Saturday, July 17th, at Ship Island, MS, has been moved to Madisonville, LA, on the Tchefuncte River. 0800 till ....! If you are already in the Lake Pontchartrain basin/ river system area, you can get there "oil-free".

This change of venue is ,of course, due to the BP oil spill and blocking action on the part of the Obama czars to prevent the skimming operation by ships from overseas. :smt021

Any rumors that Jimmy Buffet might show up - that would be fun!

I heard those rumors, but did not see him, Of course, we travel in different circles.

We had a good time; I am guessing twenty or so Sea Rays. Had a chance to meet some local Sea Ray owners, and as with other Sea Ray folks I have met -- a nice bunch of people. Maybe next year we will be back at Ship Island off the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The local Sea Ray Dealer brought over some brand new models for us to drool over -- a 45 footer and I think a 390. Very nice $$$$$$.
